Andalusian Parades Shift to Avoid Rain

Published: 2025-01-02

Cities across Western Andalusia, including Seville, Cádiz, and Huelva, have decided to move their traditional Three Kings parades to Saturday, January 4, due to a 100% chance of rain forecasted for Sunday.

The decision, aimed at ensuring families can enjoy the festivities without disruption, has also been adopted by numerous smaller towns in the region.

The parades, featuring floats, music, and thousands of candies, will maintain their original routes and schedules despite the date change.

However, some adjustments, such as reduced performances, have been necessary due to the last-minute shift.

The Andalusian Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts heavy rainfall on Sunday, prompting this proactive measure.

While most towns have finalized their plans, a few are still monitoring weather updates before making a decision.
