Authorities in Spain have dismantled two criminal groups targeting elderly victims at ATMs.
In Madrid, the Civil Guard arrested four individuals who used a "card swap" trick to steal bank cards and PINs, defrauding victims of thousands of euros.
The group, active nationwide, is linked to 12 crimes and had stolen goods and cash seized during raids.
Meanwhile, in Zaragoza, police detained two members of a traveling gang accused of 56 similar crimes, netting €65,000. Using a "scalping" method, they distracted victims to swap cards and access accounts.
Both groups targeted vulnerable individuals, highlighting the need for vigilance at ATMs.
