Ana Belén Egües, a member of the Basque separatist group ETA, has been sentenced to 85 years in prison by Spain's Audiencia Nacional for her role in a 2000 car bombing in Madrid.
The attack, which targeted the residence of a prominent political figure, resulted in 11 injuries, seven of which were severe.
Egües, known by the alias "Dolores," admitted her involvement in the bombing during the trial, which led to a reduced sentence from the initial 121 years sought by the prosecution.
The court found her guilty of transporting the explosives and facilitating the attack, which was carried out by the ETA's Buruahuste command.
The bombing caused significant damage and disrupted the lives of many, highlighting the destructive impact of ETA's violent campaign during that period.
