The powerful ex-hurricane Kirk has unleashed severe weather across northern Spain, particularly impacting Galicia with winds reaching up to 160 km/h.
The storm has caused widespread disruption, including flooded roads, suspended flights and trains, and power outages affecting over 23,000 residents.
In Santiago de Compostela, the roof of a conservatory was torn off, while in Vigo, fallen trees have blocked streets and damaged vehicles.
The storm has also led to the closure of parks in Madrid and triggered red alerts in Cantabria due to extreme winds.
Authorities urge caution as the storm continues to move northeast, with expectations of diminishing intensity by the afternoon.
