King Felipe VI of Spain made a poignant visit to Jordan amidst escalating tensions in the Middle East.
During his brief stay, he visited the Baqa’a refugee camp near Amman, home to 130,000 Palestinian refugees, where he emphasized the need for peace and stability in the region.
In a speech alongside King Abdullah II of Jordan, Felipe VI condemned the ongoing violence, which has claimed over 41,000 lives in Gaza and spread to Lebanon.
He stressed the importance of a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine to coexist peacefully.
The visit, originally planned as a longer state visit, was shortened due to regional instability, highlighting Spain's commitment to supporting Jordan and fostering peace in the Middle East.
