A tragic incident unfolded in the Serra de Tramuntana, Mallorca, as a sudden flash flood claimed the life of a 26-year-old British tourist and left another, a 32-year-old man, missing.

The couple, along with other tourists, was hiking in the popular Torrent de Pareis when they were caught off guard by the torrential rains.

Despite weather warnings, the group ventured into the area, which is known for its dramatic landscape but also its susceptibility to rapid water surges during heavy rains.

Rescue teams, including the Guardia Civil and local firefighters, managed to save ten other hikers who were trapped by the floodwaters.
