Alberto González Amador, partner of Madrid's regional president Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has filed a lawsuit against Spain's Vice President and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, at the Supreme Court.
The legal action accuses Montero of infringing on González Amador's right to honor through public statements alleging his involvement in tax fraud and irregular enrichment.
The lawsuit follows Montero's remarks in March, where she claimed that Díaz Ayuso was living in a property acquired through tax fraud, implicating González Amador.
Despite a scheduled conciliation meeting on October 2, Montero did not attend, prompting González Amador to seek a public retraction and a €40,000 compensation.
The controversy centers around allegations that González Amador defrauded the tax authorities of €350,000 during 2020 and 2021, amidst the pandemic, by manipulating invoices to reduce tax liabilities.
