At the VI edition of the Foro La Toja Vínculo Atlántico, former Spanish presidents Felipe González and Mariano Rajoy emphasized the importance of bipartisanship between PSOE and PP to address current political instability.
They criticized the rise and fall of new political parties, describing them as fleeting phenomena.
González highlighted the need to "reset" the 1978 Constitution with basic agreements to maintain Spain's territorial integrity.
Rajoy echoed these sentiments, criticizing the current "Frankenstein" government for today's issues.
António Costa, the new President of the European Council, called for political humility in facing global challenges, attributing polarization to growing inequalities.
