Jandilla Bulls Leave One Gored in Swift San Fermín Run

Published: 2024-07-12

The sixth bull run of San Fermín 2024 in Pamplona featured the notorious Jandilla bulls, known for their speed and danger.

The encierro lasted just 2 minutes and 20 seconds, with the bulls covering the 875-meter course swiftly.

Despite the rapid pace, one runner was gored in the armpit during the early stages of the run in Santo Domingo.

Two other participants suffered contusions and were taken to the hospital.

The Jandilla bulls, hailing from Mérida, Badajoz, have a reputation for causing injuries, being responsible for the last fatality in the festival in 2009. This year's run, while fast, was relatively clean compared to previous years, with the bulls staying mostly grouped throughout the course.
