Madrid Protests Demand Housing Reform

Thousands of protesters marched through Madrid this Sunday, demanding urgent action from authorities to address Spain's housing crisis.

Organized by Habitat24, a coalition of nearly 40 social groups, the demonstration highlighted soaring housing costs and the lack of affordable options.

Protesters carried banners with slogans like "Housing is a right, not a business" and "We work to live, not to survive.

" The march culminated at the Puerta del Sol, where activists called for rent caps, expanded public housing, and stricter regulations on speculative investments.

The event, dubbed the "Revolution of the Keys," saw participants jingling their keys in unison as a symbol of their struggle.

With housing prices at record highs, many young people and families find it impossible to secure stable living conditions, fueling growing frustration across the nation.
