A train derailment in Madrid's tunnel between Chamartín and Atocha stations last Saturday led to the cancellation of at least 19 trains, affecting thousands of passengers.
Renfe, Spain's main railway operator, has committed to refunding the cost of tickets for the canceled trains.
The derailment, which involved a train without passengers, is under investigation by the Commission of Railway Accidents.
The incident has prompted temporary service adjustments, with some trains starting or ending at Atocha instead of Chamartín.
Renfe plans further service interruptions next weekend to remove the derailed train.
The situation has been normalized, but the complexity of the removal operation remains a challenge.
