The Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) has announced plans to initiate parliamentary and judicial actions against the family members of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of the People's Party (PP), and Isabel Díaz Ayuso, President of the Community of Madrid.

The PSOE aims to investigate contracts awarded by the Xunta de Galicia to a company led by Feijóo's sister and payments made by Quirón Salud to Ayuso's partner.

This move comes as a counteraction to the PP's planned offensive against the PSOE over a fiscal pact in Catalonia.

The PSOE has set a deadline for explanations by September, warning of further measures if none are provided.

The PP has dismissed these actions as diversions from corruption allegations surrounding Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez's family.
