Record Cocaine Bust in Spain

Spanish authorities have seized seven tons of cocaine in Coria del Río, near Seville, marking the largest drug haul in southern Spain involving high-speed boats known as narcolanchas.

The operation, conducted on December 27, uncovered the drugs hidden in underground bunkers on a guarded property.

Three individuals were arrested, though more suspects may be involved.

The cocaine was transported via the Guadalquivir River and stored in specially adapted maritime containers.

Alongside the drugs, police confiscated firearms, including an AK-47, and stolen vehicles.

This operation is part of a broader effort to combat drug trafficking in the region, a key entry point for narcotics into Europe.
