King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, and their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, made a surprise visit to Catarroja, one of the towns hardest hit by the devastating floods caused by the DANA storm in October.

This marked the first time the royal daughters visited the affected area.

The family toured the local market and nearby streets, engaging warmly with residents who expressed gratitude for their presence.

The visit, which was private and unannounced, aimed to show solidarity with the community still recovering from the disaster that claimed 25 lives in Catarroja alone.

The royal family also dined in El Palmar, another flood-affected area, before continuing their journey to other towns.

Their visit coincided with Catarroja's celebration of a lottery win, bringing a rare moment of joy to the recovering town.
