Pedro Sánchez, the Secretary General of the PSOE and President of the Government, has solidified his leadership by unveiling a new executive team at the 41st Federal Congress in Seville.
The congress, which took place over the weekend, saw Sánchez retaining key figures such as María Jesús Montero and Santos Cerdán in pivotal roles.
This move is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the party's position ahead of the 2027 municipal and regional elections.
The new executive is the largest under Sánchez's leadership, expanding to 49 members.
Despite the continuity in leadership, the party faces ongoing judicial challenges, including the upcoming testimony of former minister José Luis Ábalos.
Sánchez has urged the party to remain resilient and focused on regaining territorial power across Spain.
