Menorca and Mallorca experienced significant flooding, with Es Mercadal in Menorca particularly affected as torrents overflowed, sweeping away cars and urban furniture.

In Alaior, Menorca, 31 residents were evacuated due to structural risks, while a family trapped in their car was rescued.

The storms have disrupted air travel, with Palma Airport facing severe delays and cancellations, prompting Aena to activate a crisis committee.

The adverse weather has also led to the closure of parks in Palma as a precautionary measure.

Despite the chaos, no injuries have been reported, and the DANA is expected to weaken as it moves towards Italy.
