Spain Launches Neurotechnology Hub

Spain has launched the National Center for Neurotechnology, a groundbreaking initiative to advance brain research.

Located at the Autonomous University of Madrid, the center aims to integrate neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and ethics to tackle major health challenges like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and autism spectrum disorders.

With a total budget of €200 million, the project is co-funded by the Spanish government, the Madrid regional government, and the university.

Led by global experts, the center will also focus on creating innovative technologies and fostering startups to commercialize research findings.

This initiative positions Spain as a leader in neurotechnology and promises significant societal impact.
