Thousands of protesters took to the streets across Spain on September 27, demanding an end to diplomatic, commercial, and military relations with Israel.
The demonstrations, organized by over 150 social groups and the Confederation General del Trabajo (CGT), were in response to ongoing violence in Gaza and Lebanon.
In Barcelona, around 4,500 people marched, chanting slogans against what they termed as "genocide" by Israel and the complicity of Western governments.
The protests were part of a broader student strike, with participants calling for international solidarity and the recognition of Palestinian rights.
The CGT criticized the Spanish government's symbolic recognition of Palestine, urging for concrete actions to halt the occupation.
Further protests are planned, highlighting the growing demand for change in Spain's foreign policy towards Israel.
