The Spanish Civil Guard's Central Operational Unit (UCO) has raided the Badajoz Provincial Council offices, investigating David Sánchez, brother of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
The probe, initiated by Judge Beatriz Biedma, stems from a complaint by the pseudo-union Manos Limpias.
Allegations include embezzlement, influence peddling, and tax fraud.
Investigators are examining David Sánchez's work records, tax declarations, and potential unexplained wealth increases.
The case also involves the Council's president, Miguel Ángel Gallardo.
David Sánchez, employed at the Badajoz Music Conservatory since 2017, denies any wrongdoing.
