Spain's National Court has received evidence of alleged illegal surveillance of Podemos party members by police during the government of Mariano Rajoy.
Between 2015 and 2016, police reportedly accessed confidential data on at least 55 Podemos deputies, including prominent figures like Pablo Iglesias and Yolanda Díaz.
The operation, conducted without judicial approval, involved hundreds of searches in police databases.
Podemos claims this was part of a broader strategy by Rajoy's government to undermine their political opponents.
The revelations have sparked calls for investigations and raised concerns about the state of democracy in Spain.
