A tragic incident unfolded in Mallorca's Serra de Tramuntana as a British couple was swept away by a sudden torrent during a hiking trip.
The 32-year-old man and his 26-year-old partner were part of a group exploring the Torrent de Pareis when a severe storm hit, causing a flash flood.
Despite active weather warnings, the couple, along with others, embarked on the hike, unaware of the impending danger.
The Guardia Civil and emergency services launched a rescue operation, saving ten other hikers.
Sadly, the woman's body was found shortly after the incident, and after three days of intensive search efforts, the man's body was also recovered.
The tragedy highlights the unpredictable nature of weather in the region and the importance of heeding meteorological warnings.
