Valencia Floods: MN4 Mall's Ongoing Crisis

The MN4 shopping center in Alfafar, Valencia, remains closed indefinitely following severe flooding caused by the recent DANA storm.

Emergency services, including local police and firefighters, have cordoned off the area as they work tirelessly to manage the aftermath.

Over 120 firefighters from various Andalusian consortia are involved in the extensive cleanup efforts, which include draining the two-level underground parking that holds approximately 80 million liters of water.

Despite the challenges, the situation offers a glimmer of hope as no bodies have been found in the submerged parking areas.

The center's director, Antonio Martí, confirmed that the evacuation was swift, with around 80 people safely relocated to higher ground.

While the material damage is significant, the absence of human casualties is a relief amidst the devastation.
