Vitoria celebrated its grand Olentzero and Mari Domingi parade on December 24, marking one of the largest festive events in Euskadi.
The parade, featuring 400 participants and a new mythological-themed float, began at the Iparralde Civic Center and wound through the city’s streets, ending at the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca.
Despite light rain, thousands of families gathered to enjoy the vibrant spectacle, which included traditional Basque music, dancers, and mythical characters.
The event was a seamless blend of tradition and creativity, with highlights like the theatrical group 'Cal y Canto' bringing "The Wind Garden" to life.
Traffic and public transport were temporarily disrupted, but the festive spirit prevailed as Olentzero and Mari Domingi promised to visit every home with gifts.
