The far-right party Vox has severed ties with the conservative Popular Party (PP) in five Spanish autonomous communities, citing disagreements over immigration policies.
Vox's national spokesman, José Antonio Fúster, accused the PP of encouraging defections among Vox officials, calling it a form of corruption.
The rupture has led to the dissolution of coalition governments in Aragon, Castilla y León, Murcia, Valencia, and Extremadura.
PP leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo criticized Vox's decision, calling it a 'serious mistake' that hinders political change in Spain.
The fallout has sparked concerns about the stability of over 100 municipal governments where the two parties share power.
