The latest survey by Catalonia's Centre d'Estudis d'Opinió (CEO) reveals significant shifts in the region's political dynamics.
The Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSC) remains the leading force, projected to secure 41-43 seats, maintaining its current strength.
Meanwhile, the far-right Aliança Catalana, led by Sílvia Orriols, is set to make a dramatic leap from 2 to 8-10 seats, largely at the expense of Junts per Catalunya, which could drop to 27-29 seats from its current 33. Support for Catalan independence continues to wane, with only 38% favoring secession, marking a historic low.
The combined seats of pro-independence parties fall short of the majority, reaching a maximum of 66, two shy of the required 68. This leaves the PSC, along with its potential allies ERC and Comuns, in a strong position to maintain a governing majority.
The survey underscores a growing political fragmentation and declining enthusiasm for independence in Catalonia.
