Controversial Summit Sparks Debate in Spanish Senate

The Red Política de Valores, a far-right multinational organization opposing abortion, radical feminism, and gender ideology, is set to hold its sixth "transatlantic summit" in Madrid this December.

The event will take place in the Spanish Senate, which the organization lists as a "collaborating entity," sparking controversy.

The Senate claims its involvement is limited to providing a room, a decision made unanimously by its board, including members from both the PP and PSOE parties.

However, the PSOE has since filed a complaint, arguing they were unaware of the event's nature and opposing its occurrence.

The summit, led by Chilean far-right leader José Antonio Kast, will feature over 20 speakers from various countries, including prominent anti-abortion activists.

Critics, like Neil Datta from the European Parliamentary Forum on Sexual and Reproductive Rights, warn that hosting such an event in the Senate could legitimize extremist views and threaten democratic values.
