Madrid's iconic Puerta del Sol is gearing up for its annual New Year celebrations, including the popular preuvas event on December 30. Security measures are in full swing, with 1,250 police officers ensuring safety and a strict 15,000-person capacity limit.

The plaza will be cleared at 9 PM on both December 30 and 31, with controlled access through four designated streets.

Prohibited items include glass, fireworks, and large objects.

Drones and double security checks will enhance monitoring.

A special light and music show will adorn the Real Casa de Correos, while the historic clock is ready to ring in 2025. Visitors are advised to arrive early and follow safety guidelines for a smooth celebration.
