Police Bust Major Human Trafficking Ring

Spanish police have dismantled a major human trafficking network operating in Alicante and Murcia, liberating 48 women and arresting 48 suspects.

The organization, led by two Colombian women and a Spanish man, exploited over 1,000 women in the past year.

Victims, mostly from South America, were lured to Spain with false job offers and forced into sexual exploitation upon arrival.

Authorities seized €150,000 in cash, eight illegal weapons, and blocked nearly €1 million in bank accounts.

The operation also led to the closure of three clubs and the confiscation of 17 properties.

This breakthrough was made possible by a citizen's anonymous tip, highlighting the importance of public collaboration in combating human trafficking.
