A political storm is brewing in Spain as allegations of corruption involving public funds surface.

Jessica R.

, the ex-partner of former Transport Minister José Luis Ábalos, testified that she was paid by two public companies without ever working for them.

The payments, totaling over €31,000, have sparked outrage, with the opposition party, PP, demanding answers from current ministers Óscar Puente and Luis Planas.

Jessica also revealed that Ábalos facilitated her employment and provided her with a luxury apartment, allegedly funded by a businessman.

The PP has intensified its investigation, calling for transparency and accountability, while the government has launched its own inquiry.
