Spain Honors 11M Victims 21 Years On

Spain marked the 21st anniversary of the 11M terrorist attacks, which claimed 192 lives and injured nearly 2,000, with solemn tributes across the country.

In Madrid, ceremonies began at the Real Casa de Correos, where officials laid a laurel wreath in memory of the victims.

Bells tolled across the city, including at the Almudena Cathedral, as a symbol of remembrance.

Later, the Bosque de El Recuerdo hosted a gathering organized by the Association of Victims of Terrorism.

Regional leaders, including Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, reaffirmed their commitment to justice and solidarity, emphasizing the unity shown by Spaniards in the aftermath of the tragedy.

Events also took place at key sites of the attacks, such as Atocha station and other affected areas, ensuring the memory of the victims endures.
