The Valencian government is urging the central government to allocate 1,000 Sareb-owned homes in Valencia to victims of the recent DANA floods.

Vice President Susana Camarero emphasized the urgency of this request, highlighting that 100 of these homes are ready for immediate occupancy.

The Generalitat Valenciana is also preparing 214 public housing units for affected families, with additional plans for 65 more homes.

The floods impacted 75 municipalities, prompting a massive emergency response involving 2,300 firefighters, 8,000 military personnel, and thousands of volunteers.

Despite the challenges, the focus remains on recovery and providing essential supplies to those in need.

Camarero has called for better coordination among volunteers to optimize aid distribution, as the region continues to rebuild and support its affected communities.
