Valencia Honors DANA Victims Amid Ongoing Search

Published: 2024-12-07

The Spanish government is set to hold a state ceremony in Valencia to honor the victims of the recent DANA storm, as confirmed by Pilar Bernabé, the Government Delegate in the Valencian Community.

The ceremony's date remains undecided due to the ongoing search for four missing individuals.

Meanwhile, a funeral mass will be held on December 9th at Valencia Cathedral, attended by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, alongside other dignitaries.

The government is also actively involved in recovery efforts, with over 500 million euros allocated to aid affected families and businesses.

The military is assisting in clearing debris and ensuring safe school routes in affected areas.

Authorities encourage those impacted to apply for financial assistance before the December 31st deadline.
