Valencia's city government is facing a political crisis after Vox suspended its municipal spokesperson, Juan Manuel Badenas, over alleged irregularities in a public contract.
Badenas, who remains a city councilor, is accused of influencing a contract awarded to a company linked to a government delegate's spouse.
This decision has strained the coalition between Vox and the People's Party (PP), which holds a fragile majority in the city council.
Mayor María José Catalá, already under pressure from regional political challenges, risks losing her governing majority if Badenas and another Vox councilor leave the party.
Opposition groups have called for accountability, with some labeling the situation a "government crisis.
" The outcome of Vox's internal investigation will determine whether Badenas is expelled from the party, further complicating Valencia's political landscape.
