On December 4th, Andalusia celebrated its Day of the Flag, a commemoration initiated by President Juanma Moreno to honor the historic 1977 demonstrations for regional autonomy.

Moreno used the occasion to urge unity among Andalusians, transcending political ideologies, to demand equal treatment for the region within Spain.

He emphasized that the only significant symbol in this struggle is "Andalusia" itself.

The event, held at the Palace of San Telmo, featured actor Paco Tous, who highlighted the importance of the Andalusian flag in public spaces like schools and hospitals.

Despite calls for unity, the event revealed political divisions, with some parties criticizing it as a political maneuver.

Moreno's speech also paid tribute to historical figures like Blas Infante and Manuel Clavero, and remembered Manuel José García Caparrós, who was killed during the 1977 protests.
