Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of Spain's Popular Party (PP), has launched a political offensive against Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, criticizing the government's agreement with Catalan parties PSC and ERC.
Speaking in Cotobade, Galicia, Feijóo accused Sánchez of creating a divide between 'first-class and second-class citizens' through the Catalan financial deal.
He argued that the government is "trading with what is not theirs" and called for Sánchez to resign and call new elections, citing a lack of integrity.
Feijóo emphasized the PP's commitment to equality and justice, rejecting any privileges for Catalonia that could undermine national unity.
He also criticized the government's handling of immigration and accused it of being paralyzed by internal scandals.
The PP aims to consolidate its opposition strategy in an upcoming summit in Madrid, focusing on a unified stance against the Catalan financial agreement.
