Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of Spain's Popular Party (PP), has launched a strong counterattack against both the far-right Vox party and the ruling Socialist government.
Speaking at the PP's National Executive Committee meeting, Feijóo defended his leadership amidst internal criticism over his recent policy shift on pension reforms.
He dismissed external pressures, emphasizing his independence and commitment to party principles.
Feijóo criticized Vox as an "opposition of deckchairs," accusing them of inaction while polls show their growing support.
He also targeted Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, warning against concessions to Catalan separatists, which he claims could undermine national security.
Feijóo vowed to intensify efforts to challenge Sánchez's government, positioning the PP as the only viable alternative to the current administration.
