The Spanish government has reached a critical agreement with Junts to pass a revised omnibus decree after its initial rejection in Congress.
The new version focuses on social measures, such as pension increases and public transport subsidies, while postponing contentious economic issues like tax reforms and regional funding updates.
This compromise, achieved after intense negotiations, ensures the support of Junts, a key player in the minority-led Congress.
The economic measures, including updates to regional funding worth €10 billion, will be addressed in a separate decree.
The deal also includes symbolic concessions, such as a reformulated anti-eviction shield and a non-binding initiative on a confidence motion.
Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez expressed satisfaction, highlighting the importance of collaboration to move forward with his legislative agenda.
