The legal proceedings against former Sumar spokesperson Íñigo Errejón have been reopened by Judge Adolfo Carretero, following a successful appeal by Errejón's defense and the prosecution.
The case, involving allegations of sexual assault by actress Elisa Mouliaá, was initially suspended due to the maternity leave of Mouliaá's lawyer.
The judge has now scheduled both parties to testify on January 16, 2024, ensuring their paths do not cross during the proceedings.
Errejón, who resigned from his political position amid the allegations, has denied the accusations and expressed a desire to clarify the facts in court.
The case highlights ongoing legal and social challenges in addressing allegations of sexual misconduct in public life.
