Jordi Turull, the Secretary General of Junts per Catalunya, has urged the PSOE to honor their immigration management agreements made in January.
Turull emphasized that failing to comply could impact the stability of the government and the approval of the 2025 General State Budgets, which require Junts' support.
He criticized the Interior Minister, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, for not being informed about the agreement, which involves transferring certain immigration management powers to Catalonia.
Meanwhile, former Catalan President Carles Puigdemont warned Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez about the lack of an absolute majority, highlighting Junts' pivotal role in legislative decisions.
Puigdemont expressed dissatisfaction with the government's handling of his legal situation, suggesting that Junts might obstruct future legislative proposals if their demands are not met.
This tension underscores the fragile political landscape in Spain, where coalition dynamics and regional autonomy debates continue to shape governance.
