A major political clash unfolded as seven regions governed by Spain's Popular Party (PP) boycotted a key Justice Sectorial Conference in Barcelona.
The meeting, led by Minister Félix Bolaños, aimed to discuss the newly enacted Law of Judicial Efficiency.
However, PP representatives criticized the event as a mere "photo opportunity" that ignored critical issues like funding.
Bolaños condemned the boycott as "institutional hooliganism," accusing the PP of prioritizing confrontation over collaboration.
The law, hailed as a transformative reform, introduces measures like judicial digitalization and the creation of tribunals of instance to replace individual courts.
Despite the controversy, the government has already allocated €325 million to support its implementation, projecting significant long-term savings.
