Princess Leonor of Spain made her first official international visit to Portugal, marking a significant milestone in her royal duties.

The 18-year-old heir to the Spanish throne was warmly received by Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who awarded her the Grand Cross of the Order of Christ, Portugal's highest honor.

During her visit, Leonor laid a floral tribute at the tomb of poet Luis de Camões and delivered a speech emphasizing the strong friendship between Spain and Portugal.

She also visited the Lisbon Oceanarium, where she participated in discussions on marine conservation with young scientists.
