In a video message, Puigdemont declared that Junts would not renew its support for Sánchez unless significant changes are made.

He criticized Illa for failing to stand up to Madrid and accused both leaders of using propaganda to promote Spanish nationalism.

Despite Junts' declining electoral support, the party's influence in parliament remains critical for Sánchez's government.
