Salvador Illa, the newly appointed President of the Generalitat of Catalonia, has announced the composition of his new government.

The cabinet, set to take office on Monday, includes a mix of socialist loyalists and figures from other political backgrounds.

Sílvia Paneque, a prominent socialist from Girona, will serve as the spokesperson and head the department of Territory, Housing, and Ecological Transition.

Miquel Sàmper, a former member of Junts, will lead the Department of Business and Employment, while Ramon Espadaler, previously with CiU, will take charge of Justice.

Alícia Romero, a close ally of Illa, will oversee the Economy, focusing on new fiscal agreements with the state.

The government aims to balance technical expertise with political experience to address Catalonia's diverse challenges.
