Spain braces for severe weather as a new Atlantic storm approaches, following the recent departure of storm ex-Kirk.
The Spanish Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in Córdoba and Sevilla, predicting up to 150 liters per square meter in some areas.
The storm is expected to bring intense rain and thunderstorms, particularly affecting western Andalusia and the Guadalquivir Valley, with potential flooding risks.
Strong winds are also anticipated, especially in northern coastal and mountainous regions.
Temperatures will fluctuate, rising in the west and dropping in the east.
The storm will extend its impact across the peninsula, with alerts in place for several regions, including Andalusia, Extremadura, and Galicia.
Residents are advised to exercise caution as the weather system progresses.
