Spain's Gender Violence Pact Advances

Spain's Congress has taken a significant step forward in combating gender violence with the approval of a renewed State Pact against Gender Violence.

The document, supported by all major political parties except Vox, includes 462 measures addressing various forms of violence, such as digital, economic, and vicaria.

The pact also proposes a comprehensive law against human trafficking and exploitation.

Minister of Equality Ana Redondo emphasized the importance of consensus, calling it a reflection of Spain's commitment to equality and democracy.

Vox, however, opposed the pact, labeling it a failure and unjust to men.

The final vote in the lower house is expected within 15 days, marking a crucial moment in Spain's fight against gender-based violence.
