Spain has taken a significant step in advancing its aerospace industry with the inauguration of the Center for Testing Unmanned Systems (CEUS) in Moguer, Huelva.
This state-of-the-art facility, described as the "Spanish Cape Canaveral," was opened by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and the President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno.
The center is set to become a European leader in aerospace technology, focusing on the testing and certification of unmanned aerial vehicles.
With an investment of 28 million euros, co-financed by the Ministry of Defense and other public entities, the CEUS aims to boost local employment and innovation.
The facility is expected to enhance Spain's industrial capabilities, offering new opportunities in sectors like agriculture, archaeology, and biodiversity protection.
The collaboration between national and regional governments highlights the strategic importance of this project in reindustrializing the region and fostering economic growth.
