Spain braces for a week of turbulent weather as two Atlantic storms, including the named Storm Nuria, sweep across the country.

Starting Wednesday, widespread rain and strong winds will affect much of the peninsula, with the Canary Islands facing hurricane-force gusts and heavy downpours.

Temperatures are set to plummet, with some areas experiencing drops of over 10°C.

The heaviest rainfall is expected in the central and western regions, where accumulations could exceed 50 liters per square meter.

Snowfall is also likely in higher altitudes, particularly in the Pyrenees.
