Venezuelan opposition leader Edmundo González has announced his intention to return to Venezuela by January 10, the date set for the presidential inauguration.
Speaking from Spain at the Foro La Toja, González emphasized his status as the internationally recognized president-elect following the July 28 elections.
He called for increased international pressure, particularly from Spain, to restore democracy and attract foreign investments back to Venezuela.
González highlighted the importance of institutional normalcy, drawing parallels with Spain's transition to democracy.
He remains committed to his temporary stay in Spain, advocating for Venezuelan democracy and denouncing the current regime's oppressive tactics.
González's return aims to fulfill the democratic will of eight million Venezuelans who supported him.
