In a recent address, Francina Armengol, President of the Spanish Congress, emphasized the importance of political consensus as the key to success, especially in today's challenging political climate.

She urged political parties to embrace agreement, drawing inspiration from the unity that led to the approval of the Spanish Constitution in 1978. Armengol highlighted urgent priorities such as combating poverty, ensuring the right to housing, fighting misinformation, and eradicating gender-based violence.

She also pointed to the recent reform of Article 49 of the Constitution as evidence that consensus is achievable.

Armengol called for continued dialogue and cooperation to address pressing issues like climate change and economic inequality, stressing that unity is essential for a hopeful future.
