The annual festivities in honor of the Virgin of Candelaria in Santa Cruz de Tenerife are set to attract around 100,000 pilgrims this year.

To ensure safety, over 600 personnel will be deployed, as certain paths remain closed due to last year's devastating forest fire.

The Tenerife Council has prepared three alternative routes for pilgrims, ensuring they are safe and well-marked.

Additionally, the local government has arranged free public transport services to accommodate the influx of visitors.

These services will operate from the old bus terminal to the Plaza de Teror, providing a convenient and safe travel option for attendees.

Authorities urge pilgrims to come prepared with appropriate clothing, footwear, and sufficient water for the journey.

The community is reminded to avoid restricted areas and use public transport for a smoother experience during the celebrations.
